About the 511 Brand Toolbox

This 511 Brand Toolbox provides access to the 511 logo and and guidelines its use by SACOG partner agencies and organizations deploying 511 in the Sacramento region and Northern California.

Partner agencies and organizations include:

Caltrans
The region's transit operators
The region's transportation management associations
The cities and counties of the Sacramento region
The telephone carriers participating in the 511 service

The toolbox provides information that will allow these partners to use the Sacramento area 511 logo consistently and within guidelines set forth by the national 511 Deployment Coalition.

Portions of these guidelines are adapted from the 511 Logo Style Guide prepared for the 511 Deployment Coalition - American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the American Public Transit Association (APTA), ITS America, U.S. Department of Transportation-in February 2002. Partners who follow the guidelines in this toolbox will not need permission from SACOG to use the 511 logo in printed materials or on promotional items such as tote bags or pens. However, by using the logo, partners agree to keep the SACOG Communications staff informed of any instances of its use through use of the "use form" included in this tool kit, and agree to provide SACOG with samples of any materials produced. By downloading the logo, the partner agency or organization also agrees to follow all guidelines for the 511 logo's use as outlined in this toolbox.

The 511 logo may be used in conjunction with the logos of partner agencies and organizations ("co-branding") as long as the guidelines in the Toolbox are followed (see related guidelines on co-branding). Requests for use of the logo by any entities other than these partners should be sent to SACOG for review.
